Durtro has announced the release of Chris’s new CD, The Episodes!

For this album, Chris is joined by Joan of Arc’s Tim Kinsella and Town & Country’s Ben Vida (who also produced the record), as well as members of US Maple, Califone and other Chicago jazz and improv luminaries.

This CD will not be available in stores until April, but is available online from the Durtro shop (£10 plus shipping and VAT, where applicable) or Jnana Records ($14.99 plus shipping).

To celebrate the launch of this record, Chris is doing a special one-off show on Saturday, February 17th at 9pm at the Hideout in Chicago.

I will be doing a reading on Feb 9th at the SOUTH UNION ARTS building at 1352 south union st. in Pilsen, other people reading will be Thax Douglas, Monica Kendrick, and Angela Myllenhouse…there is a film to start off with, I am not sure what it is, but the whole thing kicks off at 7.30 pm, and it will be super cheap to get in….

My new live/studio album is out, on 7th of December, and I will be playing at the hideout to acknowledge this, Marydee reynolds opening, 9pm-it’s a wednesday

Chris will be appearing at Wise Fools Pub on Sunday, October 2nd at 10 PM. What else do you have to do on a Sunday night, huh?
